Emperor’s Challenge Pai Gow Poker is identical to the casino game Pai Gow Poker with three additional bonus wagers.
Emperor’s Treasure, is a bet that the player’s best poker hand will make a qualifying poker hand, regardless of how the player sets their Pai Gow Poker hand.
Pai Gow Insurance, is a bet that the player’s lowest hand will not include a pair or better (must be Pai Gow), regardless of how the player sets their Pai Gow Poker hand.
Emperor’s Treasure Progressive, is a bet that the player’s best poker hand will make a qualifying poker hand, regardless of how the player sets their Pai Gow Poker hand. The payoff schedules are posted on the table for the felt bets. The payoff schedule is posted on the TV sign for the progressive bet. The rules of Pai Gow Poker do not change. Table Limits on the Emperor’s Treasure Bonus and Pai Gow Insurance bet are $1 to $25. The Emperor’s Treasure Progressive bet is $1 only. Table limits for the Pai Gow poker wager is $3 to $500.
A. The dealer hand NEVER qualifies for the envy bonus, even if the dealer is not the banker.
B. All seven cards qualify for all bonuses.
C. Malfunction of the shuffler voids all hands. Floor Supervisor must be notified.
D. Toke bets are allowed on the Emperor’s Treasure and Pai Gow Insurances bonuses up to the limit. Toke wagers do not qualify for envy bonuses. Toke bets are not allowed on the Emperor’s Treasure Progressive.
E. Player cards are always picked up immediately after determining win, loss, or push and wagers are paid and commission collected. As stated before, qualifying envy hands will be left until the envy bonus is paid.
F. The house always handles the Emperor’s Treasure, Pai Gow Insurance and Emperor’s Treasure Progressive Bonus wagers.
G. Player/Bankers can make a Emperor’s Treasure and/or Pai Gow Insurance Bonus wager. Player/Banker hands can be envied by other players.
H. No Co-banking, Co-banking is defined as two or more players combining funds to player/ bank.
I. The setting for Pai Gow Poker is similar to Blackjack, with a dealer and betting positions for up to six players. The equipment used on the game includes: a standard Pai Gow dice shaker cup and three dice.
J. Pai Gow Poker is played with a single deck and one Joker (53 cards total). The Joker can only be used as an Ace or as a card to complete a straight, flush, straight flush, or a royal flush,
K. All wagers on the game will follow the posted minimums and maximums set for that table.
L. All side bets are prohibited.
1. If the dealer uncovers the Pai Gow Shaker and all three dice do not land flat on the bottom of the saker, the dealer shall call a “no roll” and re-shakes the dice.
2. If the dealer uncovers the Pai Gow Shaker and a die or dice fall out of the saker, the dealer shall call a “no roll” and re-shakes the dice.
3. A card that is found face up in the shuffler or the deck while the cards are being dealt, the hand will be called dead and the cards will be reshuffled. A supervisor will be notified.
4. If one or more of the dealer’s cards are inadvertently exposed prior to the dealer revealing their hand, all hands shall be void and the cards shall be reshuffled.
5. If the dealer exposes any of the cards dealt to a player, a supervisor shall be immediately notified and the player has the option of voiding the hand. Without looking at the unexposed cards, the player shall make the decision either to play out their hand or to void the hand.
6. If a card that is found face up in the shuffler or the deck while the cards are being dealt, the hand will be called dead and the cards will be reshuffled.
7. An incorrect number of cards dealt to player(s) or the dealer hand shall be a dead hand the cards will be reshuffled, with a supervisor being notified.
8. If the dealer does not set his or her hand in the manner provided in Section VI, a supervisor shall be notified and the hand must be reset in accordance with Section VI and the round of play can be completed.
9. If a shuffler jams, stops shuffling during a shuffle, or fails to complete a shuffle cycle, the cards shall be reshuffled.
10. If a shuffler jams, stops dealing cards, or fails to deal all cards during a round of play, the round of play shall be void and the cards shall be removed from the device and reshuffled with any cards already dealt.
11.If the shuffler provides a wrong number of cards in any hand, a supervisor is notified and the round of play is considered void. The cards are then reshuffled.
12. If any card has fallen off the table, a supervisor will be immediately notified. The card will be inspected.
a. If there is damage to the card, the card will be replaced with the exact number suited card of the same color.
b. If there is no damage, the card will be placed in front of the player face down and the game will continue.
